Global Testing Retreat #ATAGTR2019 welcomes Pallavi Shetty as our esteemed speaker

We would like to Welcome Pallavi Shetty as our esteemed speaker for Global Testing Retreat #ATAGTR2019
Pallavi Shetty is a part of Performance Engineering group at Edgeverve Systems LTD. They conduct performance assessment of Web, Mobile, AI based applications and core engineering products and perform capacity planning for all the products.
She love to work in a challenging environment which synergies her conceptual & technical skills coupled with hard work, dedication & determination.
Pallavi is our esteemed speaker for #ATAGTR2019.
Pallavi will be taking an Interactive Session on “Re-engineering performance strategy of deep learning applications using TensorFlow – a powerful AI package” – Track 1 on Day 1

Abstract:

Modern information technologies and the advent of machines powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI) have strongly influenced the world. The industry must evaluate what it will take to support AI as it moves towards mainstream. The rapid evolution of algorithms, software, and hardware to support AI requires a framework to understand the challenges and create a context to meet those challenges. In recent times there has been increase in usage of AI based applications built using TensorFlow package which is a widely used library by developers to build deep learning applications, it is necessary to construct a performance engineering methodology and approach to test and optimize deep learning applications which uses TensorFlow package.

This paper includes the performance engineering approach and optimization techniques for deep learning applications which uses TensorFlow package and also captures different performance metrics for optimizing the performance of deep learning applications.

We had posted some questions to Pallavi as a part of his #ATAMyStory
1. Why should someone choose testing as a career ? Or What does testing really mean to you ?
Testing is the final cog in the wheel of software development without which a software is not complete. For any well engineered software, it is imperative to have a good validation process. If you have an eye for detail, an eye for perfection, then testing is a career for you!
2. While practice makes all of us perfect, share an everyday practice that has made things better for you at work
Scripting is one area where one needs a lot of practice. It is something that I do a lot and enjoy doing too. These days, I am also inclined more towards automating regular mundane tasks and that has certainly helped me save time.
3. The most challenging bug or issue that I have found and learnings from it ? Or The most challenging testing task that I have done and how I accomplished the same
Memory leak issues and DB connection leak issues were the maximum issues reported in my performance testing career. This was accomplished by monitoring the server memory statistics and using profiler tools to identify the objects which were holding memory.
