We would like to Welcome Ajay Balamurugadas as our esteemed speaker for Global Testing Retreat #ATAGTR2019
Ajay Balamurugadas and you can find him as ‘ajay184f’ in the online space. He loves asking questions to solve problems and getting paid for it as a software tester is the best thing that has happened to him, professionally. He will tell you something that is not present in his LinkedIn profile
He is shy to initiate conversations and at the same time, people tell him that they love talking to him. So, if he doesn’t say the first hi, it is because of his shyness. He is learning to come out of it. He follow his energy cycles and is very emotional.
He likes reading books and solving challenges
Ajay Balamurugadas is our esteemed speaker for #ATAGTR2019.
Ajay will be taking an Interactive Session on “8 things to measure in every project” – Track 3 on Day 1
Ajay will be taking a Lab Session on “Usability Testing – from Zero to level three” – Track 3 on Day 2
We had posted some questions to Ajay as a part of her #ATAMyStory
1. Why do you think speaking at #ATAGTR2019 really matters to you?
I get to experience the warmth and love of ATA GTR team and the audience is diverse – leaders to students to young professionals to everyone who has a dream and needs a platform to express themselves. The emotion of speaking at ATAGTR is different, cannot be expressed in words – has to be felt.
2. Do you think that organizations and individuals should go out and mingle more in community programs ?
Let me answer a slightly different yet related question – “What would happen if people do not mingle more in community programs?”I guess the following would happen:
- People would pat each other’s back and feel good about what they have achieved
- People would not know that they are solving problems which have already been solved
- People will miss out opportunities to collaborate
- They would lose out on the power of human potential
3. While practice makes all of us perfect, share an everyday practice that has made things better for you at work
I try to create a workshop out of what I am learning to be good at. That forces me to get better at what I am trying to learn and pushes me to finetune till I can teach someone from scratch. There are multiple such practices. This is a good question and worthy of a book for #ATAGTR2020 🙂
4. What is your dream for testers and testing?
I dream of a world where all the testers join hands and share all the knowledge that has helped them become good. Right now, most of the information is spread across testers working on different topics, geography, experience level and communities. I want one mega conference at a scale where you don’t need to pay anything to attend the conference, if you have something to share with the community.
#ATAGTR2019 is one of the largest, most fun filled and learning filled global testing conference. #ATAGTR2019 is back again in its 4th edition with more fun and more learnings than in the past. The conference is scheduled on 14th and 15th December in Pune.
