Below is a summary of sessions from our 3rd Hyderabad meetup (#ATAHyderabadMeetup3)

Session 1 was delivered by Akshita Jaikumar on “Building & Measurement of a High Performing Agile Team”

Summary of her session is as below:

High-performing Agile teams embody flexibility, collaboration, and customer-centricity. Utilizing Tuckman’s model, teams progress through stages like forming, storming, norming, performing, and adjourning. Effective leadership styles include servant, charismatic, strategic, democratic, and transformational, each tailored to empower and inspire team members. Measuring team performance involves evaluating capability and commitment to sustain high standards. Continuous improvement and meaningful metric tracking are essential for long-term success.

This session was followed by General Awareness on Relevance of Universal Acceptance in Software and Services delivered by Dr. Tilottama Goswami

Dr. Tilottama Goswami’s Agile Testing Alliance presentation underscores Universal Acceptance (UA) in software, emphasizing inclusive web and mobile applications. UA’s role spans supporting diverse domain names and email addresses, vital for India’s multilingual landscape, fostering business growth and competition. Addressing technical and security challenges, thorough testing is crucial, highlighting a $9.8 billion opportunity in UA for developers to seize, ensuring a more accessible internet.

Third and final session was From Chaos to Clarity: How Observability Transforms Agile Testing by Bhavani Sruti Somaraju

Sruti started the session with a wonderful game of charades during session. Common testing terms were drafted, and the teams had to guess them. We believe everyone enjoyed and actively participated during this game. This activity was designed to set the context for the topic of observability

Observability transforms Agile testing by providing real-time insights and enhancing test coverage through optimized feedback loops. It facilitates quicker root cause analysis and proactive issue detection, fostering better team collaboration and improved mean time to resolution. Embracing observability results in a 2.1x increase in issue detection and a 69% enhancement in MTTR, significantly boosting Agile testing efficiency and product quality

This was followed by a felicitation ceremony where our speakers of the day were felicitated with a small gift.
